In our permaculture garden today we found a huge crop of Malay Apple http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syzygium_malaccense It tastes like the native Australian Lilly Pilly, but is bigger.  It’s has a slight tang, is watery yet crunchy and a bit like a nashi. What a joy to find such abundance as we work in the garden!
