The Permaculture Trainee.
The Permaculture Institute refers to graduates of a permaculture design
course as "trainee permaculture designers". Each must complete at
least 2 years work in any permaculture field (as designated below) in order
to graduate to your Diploma.
Evidence of work must accompany written submission, usually an accompanying
letter signed by (1) your initial permaculture design course teacher/s;
(2) a permaculture designer who has received a Diploma from the PC Institute/s;
or (3) a reputable, independent person known by both the designer and the
Institute.
A Diploma of Permaculture Design shall be issued by the Permaculture
institute Tyalgum in the following fields [Permaculture Journal #19, page
13]
Site design System establishment and implementation
Media and Communications Manufacturing
Site development Community development
Education Finance
Administration Research
Trusteeship
Diplomas are issued by the Continental Permaculture Institute (PO Box 1
Tyalgum NSW 2484 Australia). You need a support letter from
a referee - The referee can be your initial permaculture design course
teacher, A Diplomate of the College, a trustee or director of the Permaculture
Institute; or someone known to both you and a trustee or director of the
Permaculture Institute or national Permaculture organisation in your country
of origin.
